St. Peter’s United Methodist Church is a vital congregation in the Greater NJ Conference. The first church formed in Ocean City, St. Peter’s was founded in 1880 by four Methodist ministers who chose the island to establish a Christian retreat.

St. Peter’s accepts electronic donations through Paypal. Donations to the operating budget support the operation and maintenance of facilities, the pastoral and lay staff, and the means to provide a “base camp” for outreach and missions to the community, region and the world.

Location & Parking


The church is at the corner of 8th Street and Central Avenue with parking lots on Wesley Avenue and Central Avenue north of the building. Parking is free in the municipal lot on Sunday mornings as the Ocean City Police Department does not issue parking tickets during that time period.
